The terms of using kis.edu.krd and how we handle the information you share with us.

Privacy Policy

This policy explains what we do with the information you give us through kis.edu.krd. It covers the website only — information you give the school office in person, or as part of an enrolment, is handled under the school's own records policy.

What we collect

  • What you send us. If you fill in an enquiry or application form, we receive what you typed — usually a name, a way to reach you, your child's age or year group, and your message.
  • How the site was used. Our hosting keeps ordinary server records: the pages requested, the time, the browser, and an approximate location from the network address. We use these to keep the site working and to see which pages families actually read.

We do not ask for anything we do not need, and there is nothing on this site that requires you to create an account.

What we do with it

An enquiry is answered. An application is passed to the admissions office. A job application goes to whoever is recruiting for that role. That is the whole of it — we do not sell information about you, and we do not pass it to anyone outside the school for their own purposes.

Children

Most of what reaches us about a child comes from a parent or guardian, and that is how we prefer it. We ask children not to send us personal details directly. Photographs of children appear on this site only where a family has agreed to it, and a family can withdraw that agreement at any time by writing to the school.

Who else is involved

Running a website means relying on a few others: a hosting provider, an email service, and the maps embedded on the contact page. They see only what they need to do their part. We do not run advertising on this site and we do not track you across other websites.

How long we keep it

Enquiries are kept while we are in conversation with you and for a reasonable period afterwards in case you come back to us. Unsuccessful job applications are kept for one recruitment cycle unless you ask us to remove them sooner. Server records are kept short.

What you can ask for

  • A copy of what we hold about you.
  • A correction, if something is wrong.
  • Deletion, where we have no continuing reason to keep it.
  • An explanation of any of the above, in plain terms.

Write to the school office — the address, email and phone number are on the contact page — and say what you would like. We will answer.

Cookies

This site remembers the language you chose so it can show it to you next time. Nothing else is stored on your device for our benefit.

Changes to this policy

If what we do changes, this page changes with it, and the date at the top tells you when. If a change is significant we will say so rather than leave you to notice.
