n.FAQ

Frequently asked questions.

What curriculum does KIS follow?

KIS follows the Cambridge International Curriculum, complemented by Montessori-inspired teaching methods. This combination provides a balanced approach that supports both academic excellence and the development of independent, confident learners, while also meeting the requirements of the Kurdish National Curriculum.

What age groups and grade levels do you offer?

KIS provides education for students aged 6 to 13, covering Grades 1 through 6. We also recognise the importance of early childhood education and support a learning pathway that begins from nursery level (ages 2–5) as a foundation for future academic success. We also go beyond Grade 6 in the upcoming years.

What is the language of instruction?

The primary language of instruction at KIS is English, in line with the Cambridge curriculum. Students also study Kurdish and Arabic as part of the national curriculum, supporting both international communication skills and local cultural understanding.

How can I apply for admission?

Parents can begin the admissions process by submitting an application through our website or contacting the school directly. Our admissions team will guide you through each step, including required documents and any necessary assessments, to ensure a smooth and transparent process. See our Admissions page for details.
